Robishaw
Engineering
Houston, Texas
Phase 1 included construction of lighted Robishaw Engineering Company,
the developer and manufacturer of the "Flexifloat" construction
system for over-water heavy construction, had its offices in a nearly
windowless converted lumber company warehouse. The building was cramped,
claustrophobic, and subject to flooding. Hall/Barnum Architects was
asked to study the feasibility of either remodeling the existing facility
or constructing a new building. The study pointed out that a new building
was the only practical way to provide the first class office space
desired. The new 6,800 SF building provides individual offices for
each employee, two conference rooms, an employee lounge, and expansion
space. Sitting like a jewel in a light industrial area, the building
created a new image for the company and has resulted in a significant
productivity increase. |
