The joint-use police and fire station buildings in Missouri City, Texas, needed a design for identical buildings on two separate sites. The buildings included two double-loaded, drive-through apparatus bays, dorms for three shifts of seven firefighters and two EMS personnel, a police substation office, a city clerk's office and complete apparatus support spaces. The exterior of the buildings was designed to be compatible with surrounding residential neighborhoods, while complementing the newly completed Missouri City Public Safety Headquarters Building.
