Missouri City
Public Safety Headquarters
Missouri City, Texas

The project provided for the conversion of an existing 32,000-square-foot retail building into the Public Safety Headquarters Building for the City of Missouri City. The finished headquarters serves police and fire department administration, a joint communications center, jail, sally port, patrol and investigations divisions, records administration, municipal court office, and a central fire station. It serves a current population of approximately 43,000 citizens with growth potential to support operations for a population of 65,000 within 15 years. The facility is the centralized police and fire station for Missouri City. The design theme emphasizes dignity and stability without sacrificing an open, welcoming appearance. It projects a friendly visual symbol to adjacent residential areas.
