First Baptist Church of Pasadena

Faced with being landlocked in its current space and anticipating growth, First Baptist Church and Christian Academy decided to relocate to a new 49.5-acre site. Using a Master Plan prepared by others, HBL designed the first two phases of the new campus. The plan included a 260,000-square-foot facility for the church and Christian Academy. Phase I built a 66,000-square-foot building including a multi-purpose gymnasium/worship area, kitchen, fellowship hall, nursery, Sunday school and Christian Academy classrooms. Phase II added approximately 70,000 square feet, providing a new fellowship hall, expanded worship space, additional classrooms and a youth room.
