1868 Pilot House
Houston, Texas

After suffering major damage by two seperate floods, the 1868 Pillot House has been moved to higher ground. Located in Sam Houston Park, the house will occupy the same area in the park that is has since it was donated to the Heritage Society in 1965.

The first Phase of the project involved raising the finish floor elevation of the historic structure approximately ten feet in elevation. The building had a full exterior restoration including the re-construction of an original side porch that was removed prior to 1965 when the building was relocated from 1803 McKinney.
