First
United Methodist Church, Livingston
Livingston, Texas
It was determined that the existing church on its limited downtown
site could not be renovated to provide for program space requirements,
the congregation voted for a new church campus. Programmming, Master
Planning, and Architectural services were provided for the 700 member
congregation founded in 1848. The new 33,000 SF building on a 20 acre
site provides a sanctuary to seat 500, a fellowship hall to accommodate
200 at seated meals, a library, parlor/bride's room, adult classrooms,
nursery and elementary and multi-purpose room, choir rehearsal room,
with music office and music library, large gathering area and covered
entrance, administrative area and all support facilities. Site development
included parking, playing fields and space for a future youth pavilion.
It was determined that the programs and community outreach of the
church required construction of the complete facility. |
