Drive Presbyterian Church
Houston, Texas
Programming and Master Planning services were provided for this established
congregation of 4,700 embers. In anticipation of continuing growth,
the 80,000 SF addition and 80,000 SF renovation carries out the Frank
Lloyd Wright "Prairie Style" of the original church designed
by McKee and Kamrath for a suburban 9 acre site. Phase I included
a new 220 seat chapel, 400 seat fellowship hall, kitchen, library
and adult/children's classrooms. It also included a new central plant
for the entire campus. The addition brings the church into compliance
with life safety codes and provides for access for the disabled. Phase
II will include expansion of the existing sanctuary, youth center,
music suite, and administrative center. |
