Faced with current and anticipated growth, with limited availability
of land adjacent to the existing site on Pasadena Boulevard, First
Baptist Church decided to relocate. The new 49.5 acre site facing
Fairmont Parkway provides good access and close proximity to areas
of new and expanding residential development.The Master Plan for the
site includes a proposed 260,000 SF facility for the church and its
Christian Academy. Phase I includes a multi-purpose Gymnasium/Worship
Area, Kitchen and Fellowship Hall, Nursery, Sunday School and Christian
Academy classrooms in one building of 66,000 SF. Phase 2 adds approximately
70,000 SF, providing a new fellowship hall, expanded worship space,
additional classrooms and a youth room. |
