Grace Fellowship United Methodist Church
Katy, Texas

The Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church appointed a Pastor to form a new church in the Katy area in May 1996. Within a year, Grace Fellowship UMC bought 12.5 acres of land. A Building Program and a Master Plan were developed for what will be an eight building complex, which will include: A 1,000 seat Sanctuary, a Fellowship Hall to seat 330 at tables with a kitchen and large meeting room, a chapel for 200, administration building, children's education building, youth/adult education building, a gymnasium, and a large welcome center to serve as a main entrance with library and a bookstore. Site development includes parking, three covered drop-offs, playing fields and a large central courtyard. The church's commitment to families required that a building for the children be built first and would include a two-story indoor Noah's Ark play area.
